About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of senior architects dedicated to project scoping and review of consultant-designed projects
- Oversee In-House Design efforts and provide general technical support for the agency
- Develop unit policies, procedures, and project tracking systems
- Prepare performance evaluations and handle administrative tasks
- Assist the Associate Commissioner and Director in strategic planning
- Attend high-level project meetings with client sponsors, Commissioners, and oversight Agency heads
Requirements
- Valid New York State Registration as an Architect
- Six years of full-time paid experience in architectural work
- At least two years of experience as an administrative architect
- Must be permanent in the Administrative Architect title or reachable on the DDC promotional list (exam #6501) or open-competitive list (exam #6001)
