About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of project directors and project managers
  • Oversee the design and construction of capital projects
  • Resolve project issues and ensure projects meet target dates and budgets
  • Implement and adhere to Public Buildings’ policies and procedures
  • Interface with sponsor agencies and assist with approvals and permitting
  • Prepare consultant and contractor performance evaluations
  • Assist in developing the Unit’s Commitment Plan and meeting KPIs

Requirements

  • Valid New York State Registration as an Architect
  • Six years of full-time paid experience in architectural work
  • At least two years of experience as an administrative architect
  • Must be permanent in the Administrative Architect title or on the DDC promotional/open-competitive lists
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States
