Deputy Director

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of staff involved in resolving public assistance client appeals and ensuring agency requirements are met
• Oversee application and recertification processes to ensure adherence to eligibility rules and time frames
• Assist the Director in managing various program components including call centers and specialized job centers
• Determine training needs, oversee curriculum development, and evaluate staff training effectiveness
• Supervise the implementation of Welfare Reform initiatives and personal responsibility programs
• Conduct management audits to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Agency regulations
• Oversee referrals to the Office of Child Support Enforcement and other outside agencies
• Monitor the Fair Hearing process and ensure timely compliance with decisions
• Manage the accuracy and timelines of data entered into centralized computer systems

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree plus four years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity
• OR a high school diploma plus eight years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
