About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage activities of staff involved in resolving public assistance client appeals and ensuring agency requirements are met
- Oversee application and recertification processes to ensure adherence to eligibility rules and time frames
- Assist the Director in managing various program components including call centers and specialized job centers
- Determine training needs, oversee curriculum development, and evaluate staff training effectiveness
- Supervise the implementation of Welfare Reform initiatives and personal responsibility programs
- Conduct management audits to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Agency regulations
- Oversee referrals to the Office of Child Support Enforcement and other outside agencies
- Monitor the Fair Hearing process and ensure timely compliance with decisions
- Manage the accuracy and timelines of data entered into centralized computer systems
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree plus four years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity
- OR a high school diploma plus eight years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
