About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a diverse workforce, overseeing staffing, scheduling, performance management, and labor relations within a complex, unionized environment.
- Ensure safe and secure airport operations by upholding FAA Part 139 standards and maintaining regulatory compliance through regular airfield inspections.
- Direct critical airfield operations and emergency response efforts, including incident command, disaster preparedness, snow operations, and construction coordination.
- Partner with internal departments and external agencies to advance safety management systems and optimize airfield and gate operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aviation science, business administration, or equivalent professional experience in a major international airport environment.
- 10+ years of aviation operations experience at an International Origin and Destination Airport.
- Proven supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams.
- Extensive knowledge of FAA Part 139 compliance and TSA Parts 1540 and 1542 requirements.
- Practical experience with construction coordination, snow removal operations, and airfield maintenance practices such as rubber and pavement repair.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
