About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the needs of the Commissioner and represent the office in their absence
- Manage senior team leads within the Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement (OME)
- Advise strategy for building long-term organizing infrastructure
- Troubleshoot initiatives and ensure critical timelines are met
- Support stakeholder mapping and analysis to strengthen community organizing
- Advise on content and curriculum for civics education and engagement events
- Lead team building and morale-boosting efforts within senior staff
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and four years of experience in government or organizing-centered activities
- OR High school graduation and six years of experience in government or organizing-centered activities
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Passion for public voice in government policy
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Ability to work as a motivated self-starter and collaborator
