About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of the Commissioner and represent the office in their absence
  • Manage senior team leads within the Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement (OME)
  • Advise strategy for building long-term organizing infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot initiatives and ensure critical timelines are met
  • Support stakeholder mapping and analysis to strengthen community organizing
  • Advise on content and curriculum for civics education and engagement events
  • Lead team building and morale-boosting efforts within senior staff

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree and four years of experience in government or organizing-centered activities
  • OR High school graduation and six years of experience in government or organizing-centered activities
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passion for public voice in government policy
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to work as a motivated self-starter and collaborator
