Deputy Clinic Director

Responsibilities

• Support the Clinic Director in the oversight and direction of clinical services, including direct and indirect patient care and day-to-day operations
• Serve as the acting clinical leader in the absence of the Clinic Director
• Assist with clinical governance, including medical staff conduct, documentation standards, and infection prevention
• Support quality management and performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes
• Investigate and resolve adverse events, complaints, and clinical concerns
• Provide clinical oversight to physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other clinical personnel
• Provide direct patient care as needed to support access to care and continuity of operations
• Ensure accurate, timely, and medically appropriate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Support compliance with emergency response, evacuation, and life safety protocols

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license in Texas or ability to obtain one
• Unrestricted DEA license to prescribe controlled medications
• Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience providing direct patient care as a board certified or eligible physician (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Health)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical supervision and leadership of medical professionals
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• U.S. citizenship and 5-year U.S. residency
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and medical examination

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a detention, correctional, or residential healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Spanish
