Deputy Clinic Director

Responsibilities

• Support the Clinic Director in the oversight and direction of clinical services, including patient safety and day-to-day operations.
• Serve as the acting clinical leader in the absence of the Clinic Director.
• Assist with clinical governance, including medical staff conduct, documentation standards, and infection prevention.
• Support quality management, performance improvement initiatives, and the investigation of adverse events.
• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to support access to care and continuity of operations.
• Ensure compliance with emergency response protocols, credentialing requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian program.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
• Unrestricted DEA license to prescribe controlled medications.
• Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience providing direct patient care.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical supervision and leadership.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Health.
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a detention, correctional, or residential healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
