About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all Great Bear operational activities on site
- Oversee Health & Safety, personnel issues, and facilities
- Maintain high levels of quality, compliance, and audit standards
- Set and meet financial targets through effective cost management
- Manage customer relationships and conduct regular performance reviews
- Drive continuous improvement and implement new operational initiatives
- Manage and develop existing management teams and employee relations
- Ensure Operator Licence compliance and adherence
Requirements
- Proven track record managing high-volume, service-driven transport operations
- Experience working closely with customers to improve relationships
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Strong leadership skills with positive personal attributes
- Excellent communication skills for all levels of conversation
- Experience with Open-book and closed book contracts
- Strong numerical and commercial skills
