Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Triage new fleet alert issues by reviewing system telemetry and diagnosing root causes
• Serve as the first responder for P1 emergency alerts and attempt remote fixes
• Perform remote diagnostics and remediation using internal tooling and device commands
• Deliver written shift handoffs summarizing activity and open escalations
• Identify recurring fault patterns and flag high-impact issues to hardware or software teams
• Create and maintain triage documentation and troubleshooting runbooks

Requirements

• 1-3 years in Field Engineering, technical monitoring, IT support, or operations center roles
• Ability to interpret telemetry data, dashboards, and system logs
• Proven ability to learn complex technical systems and device management tools
• Availability to work second shift or overnight hours in-office in Austin, TX
• Strong written communication and organizational skills for documentation and handoffs
• Ability to work independently with minimal real-time supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring/observability platforms like Grafana or Datadog
• Familiarity with battery energy storage, solar, inverters, or distributed energy resources
