About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrative assistant for the Athletics Department, managing the front desk and greeting faculty, staff, students, and the public.
- Facilitate recreation membership registration and assist in coordinating building supervision.
- Coordinate and supervise work-study student workers.
- Answer and screen phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members.
- Schedule and organize facility use for athletic staff, faculty, students, and patrons.
- Manage the department van fleet and organize the department van calendar.
- Provide administrative support to athletic administration, coaches, and staff.
- Monitor office equipment, maintain office supplies, and organize the department mailroom.
- Take, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Reconcile and submit expense reports for department leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 3-5 years of professional office experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Keyboarding skills of at least 50 wpm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of office methods, procedures, and practices.
