Department Manager - Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Back of House operations, including stockroom standards and efficiencies
• Coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing operational team
• Manage stock, inventory accuracy, replenishment, and shrink prevention
• Monitor operational KPIs to improve productivity and stock availability
• Forecast stock requirements and ensure readiness for key trading periods
• Drive health and safety compliance and risk management
• Conduct investigations and manage performance conversations
• Collaborate with Store Management to deliver business objectives
• Lead operational floor walks and audits
• Deliver clear communication through daily huddles and briefs

Requirements

• Previous retail management experience in operations or back-of-house leadership
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control
• Ability to analyze KPIs and implement action plans
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Strong attention to detail regarding compliance and safety standards
• Experience managing performance and employee development
• Collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Understanding of Health & Safety in a retail environment
