Department Manager, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee production workflows, equipment, and quality across 5 product lines
• Manage a team of 100+ technicians and 7 direct reports across 3 shifts
• Improve workflows and processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and scalability
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability
• Troubleshoot people, process, and technology issues in a fast-paced environment
• Monitor and enforce strict manufacturing quality standards and equipment maintenance
• Lead and train technicians in 3D printing, milling, finishing, and assembly
• Collaborate with Materials, Facilities, and Quality teams to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing a department or large team in manufacturing
• Proven track record of improving KPIs at a team or department level
• Ability to perform data analysis and make data-driven decisions
• High level of comfort with digital tools and technology
• Strong communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to be full-time onsite in Carrollton, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or leading departments and operational infrastructure (SOPs, inventory systems)
• Experience scaling operations in high-growth environments
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
