Department Head/Professor/Associate Professor - Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced courses in Mathematics, maintaining a minimum of two courses per semester.
• Provide departmental leadership, including student advisement, class schedule planning, and faculty supervision.
• Develop best practices for recruiting and retaining scholarly students and improving student success.
• Pursue an independent scholarly research program and publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop successful grant proposals to secure external funding for research programs.
• Mentor new faculty members and foster a positive, growing academic environment.
• Build productive, long-term relationships with alumni, corporate sponsors, and professional organizations.
• Advise the Dean on academic program status, personnel, educational goals, and accreditation.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Five or more years of college teaching experience in a related field.
• A proven scholarly research and publication record.
• Demonstrated experience with external grant funding.
• Strong organizational and team-building skills.
• Ability to foster productive relationships among students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualifications necessary to hold a tenured position at the Associate Professor or Professor rank.
• Experience with integrated practice and collaborative learning models.
• A strong track record of receiving significant external grant funds.
