Department Chair of Management & Marketing

Responsibilities

• Serve as the academic leader and representative for the Management and Marketing Department
• Supervise, mentor, and support the well-being of full-time and adjunct faculty
• Manage course scheduling, faculty assignments, and curricula development
• Monitor and support student enrollment and retention efforts
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses using innovative and interactive instructional methods
• Maintain an active research agenda with original publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Advise and mentor students to support their academic and professional growth
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and the business community to advance the School's mission

Requirements

• Terminal degree in management, marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Earned tenure or the rank of Associate Professor at another institution
• A distinguished record of scholarship and research
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and the use of engaging instructional practices
• Permanent right to work in the United States
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with course scheduling, curriculum development, and faculty evaluations
• Proven track record of leading others and managing organizational change
• Professional experience in related business fields
• Active membership in academic and business associations
• A research record consistent with "Scholarly Academic" classification under AACSB standards
