Department Chair (Lead Academic Program Manager) - Data & AI Programs

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and roadmap for Data & AI academic programs, including BS and MS offerings.
• Conduct market research and workforce analysis to ensure curriculum remains relevant to emerging AI trends.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Program Development, Faculty, and Marketing to design and refine competency-based curricula.
• Monitor student success metrics such as course completion, progression, and retention to drive continuous improvement.
• Engage with industry advisory boards to integrate modern data practices, certifications, and AI-enabled workflows into programs.
• Align stakeholders across a matrixed organization to ensure effective execution of program development initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree plus seven years of directly relevant professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in program management, product management, or educational program development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or data engineering.
• Technical familiarity with tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or cloud data platforms.
• Experience developing workforce-aligned or skills-based curricula.
• Background in online or competency-based higher education.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI-enabled analytics tools.
