Department and Academic Program Director of Nutrition

Responsibilities

• Ensure academic quality of the teaching-learning process through continuous evaluation and improvement.
• Design and update curricula to ensure relevance with academic standards, market needs, and institutional guidelines.
• Support student progress by addressing needs and promoting integral well-being and timely graduation.
• Drive institutional goals for student attraction, retention, and graduation in coordination with key areas.
• Strengthen external links by generating alliances with companies and institutions for internships and employability.
• Manage departmental resources, including human, financial, and infrastructure management.
• Lead and evaluate academic and administrative staff to ensure professional development and adequate teaching coverage.
• Plan academic offerings, optimizing resources based on demand and faculty profiles.
• Guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements, external evaluations, and accreditations.
• Promote academic and research development by encouraging faculty participation in publications and academic activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition (Licenciatura en Nutrición).
• Master's degree in Nutrition (Maestría en Nutrición).
• 5 or more years of clinical or academic professional experience.
• Proven experience in academic program coordination and teaching.
• Experience in faculty leadership and managing academic teams.
• Ability to manage institutional relations and external partnerships.
