About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate and educator for patients regarding their dental treatment plans.
- Conduct in-person, virtual, or telephone consultations to understand oral health history and objectives.
- Explain treatment plans, address patient concerns, and assist in prioritizing care and scheduling.
- Manage financial consultations, including coordinating payment plans and explaining insurance benefits (Private Insurance and Medicaid).
- Educate patients on alternative funding sources such as Friends of Man, Senior Dental Program, and other local trusts.
- Coordinate communication for outside referrals and manage all referral documentation within eCW.
- Collaborate with billing and Patient Care Representatives to ensure follow-up for missed or canceled appointments.
- Support the Practice Manager in meeting production goals and assist with general office duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (3 years preferred).
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and adequate auto insurance (if using a personal vehicle).
- Proficiency with eCW and standard office systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform data entry and interpret physician orders and clinical notes.
