Dental Technician

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with dentists to interpret prescriptions and design specifications for dental prosthetics
• Utilize dental laboratory equipment and materials to create, repair, and modify dental devices
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in customizing dental appliances to ensure proper fit and function
• Implement innovative techniques and stay updated on the latest dental technologies and materials
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control procedures in the dental laboratory
• Participate in continuous education and training to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in Dental Technology or a related field
• Proven experience as a dental technician in a dental or healthcare environment
• Proficiency in using dental laboratory equipment and materials
• Comprehensive understanding of dental prosthetic design and fabrication
• Knowledge of dental software and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs
• Strong understanding of dental anatomy, materials, and procedures
• Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for intricate work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with dental staff
