Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, oral cancer screenings, sealants, fluoride treatments, and patient education
• Collaborate with a dedicated dental assistant to optimize scheduling, sterilization, and room turnover
• Partner with dentists for hygiene exams and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs
• Drive hygiene production by maximizing chair time and supporting same-day treatment opportunities
• Maintain strong patient relationships through clear communication and personalized education
• Engage in ongoing professional development through CE opportunities and peer collaboration

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current, active dental hygiene license in Massachusetts
• Current anesthesia/nitrous license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfort with digital charting, x-rays, intraoral cameras, and technology-driven care
• Availability for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules including AM/PM and Saturday shifts
