Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues for abnormalities
• Remove soft and hard deposits and extrinsic stain using hand instruments and ultrasonic tools
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and home care products
• Perform prophylaxis, full mouth debridement, and root planing
• Perform intraoral and extraoral x-rays
• Create treatment plans based on dentist diagnosis
• Monitor and report suspected lesions to the dentist

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current state dental hygiene license
• Current Dental Hygiene Anesthetic permit
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children
