Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while ensuring patient comfort
• Set up and breakdown operatory stations post-treatment
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Requirements

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
• X-ray certification where state regulations specify
• 3+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Proficiency with Prime Scan and Cerec technology
• Knowledge of implants and comfort with extractions, crowns, dentures, and all-on-four procedures
