Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assisting to dental residents during comprehensive patient care
• Manage patient flow and maintain neat, organized treatment rooms
• Perform sterilization, setup, and breakdown of clinical equipment and instruments
• Expose and set digital radiographs and perform CBCT scans according to standard procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure
• Safeguard patient information and maintain strict confidentiality per HIPAA standards
• Assist with clinical supply inventory and ordering
• Support front office operations, including answering phones and scheduling, as needed

Requirements

• Proof of completion of a Michigan Board of Dentistry approved radiography program
• Current CPR certification
• Proven experience in chairside assisting within a busy clinical environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Dental Assisting from an accredited institution
• Experience utilizing patient management systems such as AxiUm
