About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assisting to dental residents during comprehensive patient care
- Manage patient flow and maintain neat, organized treatment rooms
- Perform sterilization, setup, and breakdown of clinical equipment and instruments
- Expose and set digital radiographs and perform CBCT scans according to standard procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure
- Safeguard patient information and maintain strict confidentiality per HIPAA standards
- Assist with clinical supply inventory and ordering
- Support front office operations, including answering phones and scheduling, as needed
Requirements
- Proof of completion of a Michigan Board of Dentistry approved radiography program
- Current CPR certification
- Proven experience in chairside assisting within a busy clinical environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Dental Assisting from an accredited institution
- Experience utilizing patient management systems such as AxiUm
