Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dental Director, Dentists, and Dental Hygienists in the care and treatment of patients
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical inventory
• Manage patient reception, scheduling, and clinical records
• Take diagnostic digital X-rays in a timely and reliable manner
• Interact with patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure comfort and well-being

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Radiology certification through a state-approved program
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Program certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
• Ability to operate, maintain, and document in electronic health records
• Ability to take digital X-rays
• Sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dental assistant experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
