Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to dentists, residents, and students during dental and implant procedures
• Prepare and set up work areas and operatories, including cleaning, restocking, and inventory management
• Escort patients to the operatory, prepare them for procedures (draping, positioning), and record vital signs
• Take X-rays, including PAN, at the request of attending staff or residents
• Assist with gowning and gloving of residents
• Ensure the dispensary area meets all OSHA regulations
• Perform general office receptionist duties, including front desk coverage and data entry

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)
• Valid NJ Dental Radiographic Technology License
• Current BLS certification
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a CDA
• Experience with departmental software products
