About the role
Responsibilities
- Support dental faculty and students during clinical procedures in general and specialty areas, including restorative, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics
- Capture and process diagnostic digital radiographs in compliance with state laws and institutional guidelines
- Prepare and maintain operatory rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with OSHA and CDC protocols
- Ensure proper documentation and charting using electronic dental record (EDR) systems
- Assist with program development, including the evaluation and refinement of radiology clinic workflows
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of dental supplies and materials
- Demonstrate and reinforce proper clinical techniques and best practices to dental students
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Ohio Dental Assistant
- Valid Radiographic License (Ohio)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-operatory, multi-provider clinic setting
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Axium, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft
- Certification in IV Sedation
