Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Expose dental diagnostic X-Ray
• Record treatment information in patient records
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
• Clean teeth using dental instruments including cleaning and polishing removable appliances
• Apply a protective coating of fluoride to teeth
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts

Requirements

• Experience or status as a new student looking for a first opportunity
• Ability to provide exceptional chairside care
• Comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with doctors
