Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside clinical support, including instrument passing, suctioning, and preparation of restorative materials
• Prepare and sterilize treatment areas and dental instruments
• Perform laboratory procedures such as pouring and trimming study models
• Take radiographs, obtain vital signs, and perform topical applications
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, dietary counseling, and appliance maintenance
• Manage administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, patient follow-up, and phone handling
• Oversee office business operations such as bookkeeping, managing receivables/payables, and maintaining financial records
• Monitor inventory and maintain dental supplies and equipment

Requirements

• Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program
• At least 2 years of experience working as a chairside dental assistant
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage patient relations
