Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Review patients' medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Provide pre/post-op instructions for oral care
• Teach patients oral hygiene strategies
• Take impressions of teeth for study casts
• Complete pre-op/post-op x-rays for insurance purposes
• Chart and enter treatments into Dentrix Ascend software

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or completed dental assistant schooling
• Radiation - X-Ray Certificate
• Infection Control Certificate
• CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work Saturdays
