Dental Assistant 2

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to faculty and students during dental procedures
• Set up necessary instruments and equipment for clinical sessions
• Manage the disinfection and sterilization of supplies and instruments in the dispensary
• Dispense supplies and materials to dental students
• Prepare for and assist during clinical demonstrations
• Maintain cleanliness in cubicles, dispensaries, and lab areas

Requirements

• B.C. dental assistant certification and a current dental assistant license
• High School graduation and completion of a dental assistant program
• Two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency in learning new computer programs and using technology effectively
• Ability to exercise tact, discretion, and resolve differences through consensus
