Demurrage Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor completed jobs with accumulated demurrage across all mine locations via the ERP system
• Perform manual demurrage and detention calculations based on client contracts and site rules
• Generate proforma invoices and final demurrage calculations for CSM/KAM negotiation
• Investigate and resolve client disputes by validating data against PODs and event logs
• Maintain the Master Demurrage Tracker for both client and transporter claims
• Analyze transporter claims and recommend payable amounts for approval
• Provide weekly and monthly status reports on demurrage positions to drive collections
• Validate ERP event tagging and collaborate with automation teams to improve data triggers

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Mining Logistics, or Shipping
• Proven experience in Demurrage and Detention processes
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
• Strong understanding of contracts, SLAs, and mining operations
• High level of analytical accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with commercial and operational teams
