Demo Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise vehicle safety during demos in real-time
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for external guests and internal teams
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for demonstration runs
• Provide clear explanations of system capabilities and performance to stakeholders
• Log issues, anomalies, and observations to support engineering teams
• Plan and optimize demo routes and respond to real-time traffic or audience needs
• Adapt demo content and delivery style based on the audience

Requirements

• Full clean Japanese driving licence
• At least 8 years of driving experience, primarily in Japan
• No blameworthy insurance claims in the past three years
• Proven experience as a demo operator or in a similar role
• Fluent in English and Japanese
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in vehicle testing or AV environments
• Knowledge of AV technology or autonomous systems
• Customer-facing or hospitality experience
• T1 and T2 Bertha certification
