Demo Operator Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide effective demonstration, safety, operation, and application training of Caterpillar equipment to customers, dealers, and internal personnel.
• Conduct product demonstrations and narration during operational sequences at facilities and off-site locations.
• Deliver hands-on training related to machine operation, job efficiency, and safety following Caterpillar Equipment Training Solutions (ETS) standards.
• Evaluate customer job sites to maximize machine application efficiency, selection, and configuration.
• Conduct job studies on Caterpillar and competitive products to compile and analyze production data.
• Support sales efforts by providing subject matter expertise to dealer sales forces and field representatives during industry trade shows and machine deliveries.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% to support various training and demonstration needs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of heavy equipment operator experience in heavy construction, quarry/aggregates, and/or mining industries.
• Proven experience working with Caterpillar products and their specific applications.
• Experience operating at least four or more different product families.
• Basic computer skills and fluency in English.
• Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid US Passport within the first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating with individuals at multiple levels of seniority and managing high-pressure instructional situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience delivering professional presentations in both classroom and field environments.
