Demi Chef

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and assist with the preparation and presentation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes
• Assist in the development and plating of high-quality meals to ensure consistency and quality
• Support the smooth execution of all services within a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Contribute to effective kitchen operations through strong teamwork and clear communication
• Take initiative to develop culinary skills, particularly within breakfast and early service operations

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Cook, Chef, or in a similar culinary position
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have legal working rights in New Zealand
