About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section
- Maintain cleanliness and organization adhering to food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members for smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and stock levels for the assigned section
- Assist in food cost control and waste minimization
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role
- Experience in high-volume restaurants or resorts
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills in English
- Physical stamina for standing and lifting heavy objects
- Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
