About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to established recipes
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and mise en place efficiently
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards and procedures
- Monitor stock levels and work to minimize food wastage
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all food products
- Support the team during busy service periods
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar hospitality kitchen role
- Demonstrated experience in fast-paced kitchen operations
- Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and culinary standards precisely
- Physical stamina for kitchen environment demands
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field
- Food safety and hygiene certification
