Demand Planner

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production and customer requirements
• Monitor assembly progress, material availability, and potential production or depot issues
• Solve production and depot problems to ensure personnel, equipment, and materials are provided as needed
• Control and analyze Bills of Material within an MRP system
• Confirm material supply demand and prepare work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements
• Summarize inventory shortage impacts for assemblies and end items
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering
• Propose solutions to mitigate work stoppages due to material order slips
• Work a weekend fourth shift: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in supply chain, production planning, MRP, or inventory management
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
• Experience with Government and Depot type processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
• Experience reading and evaluating parts lists for production work
• Current DOD Security Clearance
