Delivery Specialist Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient execution of 20,000+ annual shipments across multiple transportation modes.
• Manage over $20M in annual truck spend and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Delivery Specialists to ensure high service levels.
• Develop and maintain a reliable, cost-efficient, and safety-focused carrier network.
• Coordinate daily communication with plants, terminals, inventory control, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, DOT, and 49 CFR regulations.
• Oversee dispatch, load scheduling, and rate negotiation to optimize efficiency.
• Establish and track KPIs to ensure consistent execution, productivity, and on-time performance.
• Manage carrier relationships, including performance monitoring and annual service reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical business experience.
• 10+ years of transportation experience.
• Working knowledge of DOT and government regulations (CFR 49) and NMFC standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for operational tracking and reporting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in liquid bulk transportation.
