Delivery Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of all distribution activities for the assigned area
• Supervise delivery drivers and subordinate supervisors to ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service
• Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures in coordination with other functional areas
• Identify operational issues through data and root cause analysis to execute continuous improvement plans
• Manage employee performance through assessment, counseling, training, and regular performance reviews
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all safety and repair issues are addressed in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal, State, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 5 years of delivery/distribution experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment
• 2 years of management or supervisory experience
• 2 years of customer service experience in a DSD environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs for consecutive hours
