Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles according to state and federal transportation laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Manage and transport loads safely and timely over required routes
• Maintain required regulatory logs and electronic logging devices
• Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas
• Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment
• Assemble customer loads according to delivery lists
• Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report malfunctions
• Organize trailers in the shipping yard to optimize efficiency
• Assist in maintaining yard inventory control and cleanliness
• Operate forklifts and other vehicles safely
• Provide quality customer service and assist customers in the yard

Requirements

• Proven delivery driver experience with customer-facing interaction
• Experience operating a forklift and straight truck
• Basic knowledge of lumber and building products
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical and drug testing
• Possession of a valid driver's license required by state regulations
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted and stand/sit for 8+ hours
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and climb stairs while carrying material
• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
