Deli Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day deli operations, including hot foods, prepared items, displays, and merchandising
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop deli associates to build a positive team culture
• Manage inventory, ordering, pricing, and shrink to meet profit goals
• Ensure strict food safety, sanitation, labeling, and regulatory compliance
• Oversee product rotation, receiving, storage, and display standards
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of hot and cold deli items using various kitchen equipment
• Conduct monthly inventories and support accurate financial reporting

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with physical demands
• Comfort with inventory management, sales tracking, and basic P&L concepts
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a deli, food service, or grocery environment
• ServSafe Certification
