Degreed GEAR-UP Tutor

Responsibilities

• Provide academic interventions and enrichment activities in all core subject areas to increase STAAR pass rates.
• Work collaboratively with campus administration, GEAR-UP Facilitators, teachers, and academic coordinators.
• Become proficient with the 7th-grade academic curriculum to effectively serve students.
• Maintain detailed written documentation and student logs regarding tutoring activities and support provided.
• Meet weekly with the academic team to plan logistics, curriculum coverage, and data tracking.
• Write weekly progress reports to monitor student advancement.
• Take a proactive role in driving student success through dedicated instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Strong knowledge in core academic content areas.
• Ability to manage student behavior in both traditional classroom and distance learning environments.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate files and documentation.
• A friendly, helpful, and proactive attitude toward student instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level.
