Default Collector

Responsibilities

• Contact customers via telephone to determine the reason for delinquency and resolve accounts in full
• Ensure all collections activities comply with Concord’s procedures, client specifications, FDCPA, and State Regulations
• Locate customer contact information using various databases and skip-tracing systems
• Document all customer interactions and update applicable account information accurately
• Represent the company in a professional manner while maintaining composure in difficult situations
• Plan and prioritize multiple work tasks to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Proficiency in typing, computer skills, and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiating skills
• Ability to listen carefully, probe for details, and ask targeted questions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work a schedule that requires a minimum of one evening per week and two Saturdays per month
• Two years of collections experience preferred
• Knowledge of FDCPA and relevant federal regulations preferred
