About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervision and instruction of students with disabilities or special needs in classroom settings
  • Implement academic and behavioral plans per IEPs and document student progress
  • Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and materials under teacher direction
  • Support student communication, self-advocacy, and independent achievement
  • Provide clerical support and assist other staff as needed
  • Substitute teach or serve as additional instructor when not assigned as Dedicated Aide
  • Support after-school programming and afternoon duty posts
  • Participate in school-home communication and cultural activities

Requirements
