Deckhand

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage with passengers professionally.
• Manage passenger boarding, including manifest checks, headcounts, and money collection.
• Conduct safety briefs, snorkeling briefs, and guided tours with environmental interpretation.
• Lead memorable Glass Bottom Boat Tours and island heritage walks.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness and ensure all equipment is stored correctly.
• Adhere to food safety regulations for catering and maintain first aid/oxygen supplies.
• Assist in emergency response drills and follow safety management systems strictly.

Requirements

• Coxswain Grade 1 NC.
• Current Senior First Aid/CPR/O2 Certificate.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience working on a vessel or within the tourism industry.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in hot environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Reef Teach Course Certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of coral and marine life.
