About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle and haul longline fishing gear
- Operate deck machinery including autobaiters, slack-takers, combi, and cranes
- Backload bait and supplies at the start of trips
- Offload product at the end of trips
- Maintain a clean deck free from hazards
Requirements
- Experience handling lines and fishing gear
- Experience operating deck machinery (autobaiter, slack-taker, crane, etc.)
- Ability to load and unload heavy product and supplies
- High level of physical fitness for extended hard work
- Ability to work 16-hour shifts, 7 days a week in wet and cold conditions
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (including THC)
- Must pass a background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
