Decision Scientist

Responsibilities

• Drive engagement, development, and performance of team members while mentoring data analysts
• Extract, synthesize, and clean data from Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Oracle, and legacy systems
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and ensure privacy-compliant handling of customer data
• Produce standard and custom reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Apply statistical and predictive modeling techniques including regression, clustering, and anomaly detection
• Partner with stakeholders to identify core business questions and design optimal solutions
• Operationalize insights by integrating analytics into business processes

Requirements

• BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar quantitative field
• Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, or R
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Solid understanding of descriptive and regression statistics
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
