Deburring & Marking Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform deburring, edge breaking, and surface finishing of machined and fabricated components using hand and power tools
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and surface defects without affecting dimensional accuracy
• Mark components using approved methods such as stamping, engraving, vibro-etching, or laser marking
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and marking requirements
• Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience in deburring and marking of machined or fabricated components
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, oil & gas, or heavy engineering environments
• Proficiency with deburring tools, grinders, files, rotary tools, and polishing equipment
• Knowledge of part marking methods including stamping, engraving, vibro-etching, or laser marking
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping practices
