Debug Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assume technical responsibility for feature enablement and SoC-system level flow across both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
• Lead pre-silicon feature implementation, coverage planning in emulation, and review deferred silicon bugs to ensure system-level stability.
• Drive post-silicon bring-up planning in collaboration with Silicon, Platform, Firmware/BIOS, and Validation teams.
• Act as the technical lead for debugging SoC-related challenges from tape-out through to SoC IP milestones.
• Lead cross-functional debug efforts for critical silicon issues and communicate updates to core teams and management.
• Provide technical guidance on test plans, risk mitigation, and functional coverage for new SoC features and IPs.
• Manage issue closures, track schedules, and ensure high-quality documentation and collateral delivery.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in both Pre and Post Silicon enablement and validation.
• Deep knowledge of X86 architecture and associated hardware/firmware aspects.
• Strong understanding of BIOS, Firmware, and Software interception.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed board measurement using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and other debug tools.
• Expertise in High Speed I/O (PCIe, DDR4/5, USB4, Ethernet) and Power Management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TCL.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management.
