Dean of Students/Director of Housing

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for student wellbeing, conduct, and campus housing operations.
• Oversee campus housing, including recruitment, training, and supervision of residential life staff.
• Enforce the Student Code of Conduct and manage the progressive discipline system using a restorative approach.
• Coordinate responses to campus emergencies and crisis situations.
• Develop and coordinate residence hall programming focused on student leadership and engagement.
• Manage housing assignments, occupancy tracking, and semesterly move-in/move-out operations.
• Implement data-informed strategies to increase student retention and support at-risk students.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in Student Affairs.
• Knowledge of mental health support and crisis response protocols.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
• Ability to fulfill the requirements of a full-time, live-in position with 24-hour accountability.
