Dean of Students

Responsibilities

• Lead all Student Affairs units, including Residence Life, Health Services, Career Development, and Community Standards.
• Create a positive campus culture and environment conducive to studying, working, and recreation.
• Serve as the primary officer and supervisor for Student Community Standards and Student Conduct.
• Provide direct support to students regarding institutional policy, departmental processes, and grievances.
• Coordinate staff development and enhancement programs for Student Affairs professional staff.
• Prepare statistical reports, annual reports, and coordinate special research projects and data gathering.
• Assess the developmental needs of the student population and implement creative leadership and training initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with the student body, faculty, and staff to support University goals.
• Remain available and responsive to student emergencies occurring during or after normal business hours.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of relevant higher education experience.
• Master's degree (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and Internet applications.
• Experience designing, planning, and developing programs and measuring outcomes for student services.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as required by campus events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in education, student affairs, or a closely related field.
• Experience working with student information systems.
